Hand Development

@ 9 months 1 week

Ryan can pick up anything within his sight with little effort; of course he can throw them away effortlessly as well. He has so much strength that he can even pull down the hi chair. Sigh..

Ryan likes to grasp the things he likes from us and when he finally got it on his hand he’ll throw it instantly on the ground and observe the impact he proudly orchestrated. When you pick it up, he’ll repeat the same and giggles. When he sees a toy out of his reach, he’ll go crazy and lunge forward as if he hasn’t seen the toy for yearssss. The worrying part of this is Ryan can unexpectedly do it even we were carrying him so one can imagine how vigilant we have to be at all-time so to not drop our little precious on the ground. Erm, naughty or not my little monster.

Ryan’s development on pincer grasps has been pretty good. He is able to use his fingers pretty well (even the middle finger). Last night I managed to take a few shots of him putting his fingers for good use when it comes to play time.

The pic shows ‘Busy Basic Gears’ from Playskool I bought him (yeah, you can see the gears are all gone already).

1) Daddy teaching Ryan how to use his fingers to follow the spin

2) Ryan is a fast learner when it comes to play. Able to use his thumb and index finger pretty well here

3) Probably figured using thumb and index is not the best combination. Decided to use his index and middle finger instead

3) Hahaha.. finally settled with his middle finger. (See how he the remaining fingers will curl inward except for that one particular useful one here. LOL) and erm.. Ryan only uses his middle finger to play la and not to interpret any sign language, I hope not.. (heheh.. u know what I mean)
