Ryan’s Independent Steps

@ 11 months 2 weeks 2 days

Ryan has been practising his walking skills all the time. I was really worried when he took his first few wobbly steps but CEO assured me we should let our baby go through the normal learning / development process and parents cannot be over protective of their child. We may think we’re helping our child but actual fact we’re hindering their growing process. I guess she is right. So, here goes.. a short clip of Ryan’s independent steps…

Ryan was seen on the clip here walking towards his fav ball, picked it up and walked back towards Daddy who was hiding at the corner.

Well done Ryan!!! Daddy and Mummy are very proud of you…

Ryan’s first pair of walking shoes

I bought Ryan’s first pair of shoes the other day. But guess what.. instead of being excited, our little monster is scared of them. Adoi~~~, my little monster is not so monster afterall.

Mummy’s Birthday Celebration~~~

@ 11 months 2 weeks 1 day

Yeah.. mummy’s birthday falls on the 30 Mac. Thanks to everyone who sent me greetings and wishes.

Many have also asked how I celebrated the special day; being mummy’s first birthday celebration with my little Ryan.. Let me share with you.. Here goes:

6.30am : Woke up
7.00am : Departed for Melaka for my company’s regional meeting
9.00am : Reached Equatorial Hotel, Melaka
5.00pm : Departed from Melaka. The meeting was still on-going. HR Manager was giving his presentation. He had like 60 slides and when I left, he probably have like 50 more slides to go. I decided to make a quiet move (informed my immediate bosses of course) as I was really hoping to rush back for at least a dinner with my beloved.

Guess.. what time I got home??

8.00pm

It costed me 3 precious hours for me to get back from Melaka (typically 1.5 hrs). Why? Why? Why? Thanks to the heavy cats and dogs rain, the long bumper to bumper drive, the nosy drivers who slowed down to kepoh an accident on the opposite direction. If that was not bad enough, my car almost ran out of petrol along the way back. When the indicator came on, I knew I have to refuel but I wasn’t too worried at first assuming there should be a kiosk not too far away. Little did I expect, there was no single one for almost 30km distant. I have not felt so worried and shaky in my life. I blamed myself for taking things for granted. I should have refueled in Melaka before I started my journey home. Of course it doesn’t helped the fact I need to go *shue-shue* (washroom) too!!!

I was ready to turn in at the next exit in hope there will be one kiosk at the toll area. Then suddenly I saw the rest area sign. I pierced through the heavy rain to see if there is a kiosk signage. BRAVO!!! Yes yes… there’ll be a kiosk in the next rest area (which was like 5km away). That was the longest and horrifying 5km drive in my life….

If that was not bad enough, towards home I made a wrong exit (Turned in at Kajang instead of Serdang). There goes another 1 hour on the road.. See la.. how bad luck I was on my birthday!!!

Anyways, hubs suggested we could still go for midnight movie but I was just too tired after all the drama, I certainly don’t wish to see another…. I just want to spend some quality time with Ryan with the limited hours that’s left on my birthday!!!

Genting Revisited

@ 11 months 1 week 4 days

We went for a short trip up the hill again, compliment 1 night hotel stay from “C-bank”. This time we stayed at the First World Hotel. Knowing how pathetic the rooms are, I was hoping they would allow us to upgrade the room to at least Super Deluxe or Worldcard Deluxe whatever whatever… but guess what, C-bank instructed NO UPGRADE. Hmmm… No upgrade even I’m willing to pay for it? How ‘stewpid’.

Generally the overall stay was so so.. not too good and not too bad. At least the room was clean but what cheeses me off was when I called the housekeeping for a kettle, their response was like this..

Me: Hi, I would like to request for a kettle
X: No Madam. We cannot provide you with a kettle
Me: What do you mean you cannot provide me with a kettle? You don’t have or you cannot provide?
X: We cannot provide kettle to deluxe room guest.
Me: (Super frust already) Then how am I supposed to get boiling water
X: Our tap water is clean and safe for drinking. You can also go out of the room to the hall, there is a general water tap with hot and cold water provided.
Me: (SLAMMED DOWN THE PHONE)

Arrghh… it’s just a kettle for gawd sake.

See Ryan’s pic below.. His expression speaks it all….

(i’m so bored and sleepy… ) Heehee…poor baby
