Cranky baby cont…..

@ 19 months 3 weeks 1 day

When I thought it’s all okay……… it’s actually far from over.

Ryan continued to be cranky, misbehaved, restless for the next few days. I really do not know what’s going on with him. He simply ‘merajuk’ for the most trivial reason. He even whined during his sleep (bad dream?? I really don’t know)…with both his eyes closed. So you can imagine how upset he was.

Yesterday, yes.. the day I’ve been waiting for.. the day we’re going back to KL for a few days break. It was a smooth journey. Took us about 3.5 hours from point to point. Ryan slept in the car 1.5 hours into our journey. Phew!!! At least I have one cranky baby less to worry about. Reached KL at 12.30am. Ryan was awake due to the commotion. PILs waited for us and were estatic when he saw little Ryan awake. Ryan on the other hand was really shy. Think he has forgotten his ‘home’ and his toys. Poor baby. After a short while of playing, we decided to call it a night. It has been a long day espeically for hubs (KL-SG-KL on the same day)..yes.. long story on that bit.

1am – Tossing and whining

2am – Still tossing and whining

3am – Ryan is finally asleepy but throughout the night he was whining and kicking. Mind you, we co share the bed and it’s always me who ended up smelling his feet and having to endure his karate kicks.

7.30am – Ryan wide awake………………………………… sobs. FIL was waiting for Ryan to wake up for a little bonding time. So I got Loida and Linda to stick around with FIL to offer help. I went back to get a short cat nap. I was realllyyy sleepy leh.

8.30am – Brought Ryan to the paed for his pneumococcal booster (yes.. cheaper to get it done here. RM280 vs SGD230. Doesn’t need a genius to figure that out). Initially I was thinking perhaps Ryan could have the jab together with his 20 months Hepatitis A booster but paed advised against it. Also partly because Ryan was ‘soooo sooo sooooo’ agitated (3 ‘so’ is an understatement). Ryan fussed and whined the minute we stepped foot in the clinic. The process of taking his weight, height and head circumference was a total nightmare. The whole ordeal of his physical check etc was total disaster too. I have literally clamp him down. I know I shouldn’t but that was the last resort. Poor baby……… He was so angry that he even bit on the stick that paed use to check on his throat. It was chaotic.

Anyways.. for the record. This is what has been measured. Not sure how accurate

Height: 88cm (I will measure again on my own.. unless he really shot up 4 cm from last month)

Weight: 11 kg (taken with mommy carrying him on a scale). He lost a bit of weight

HC: 49cm

Came home, had his lunch and he took his nap from 12.15pm to 3.45pm. Just shortly before woke up, he whined again. Ngek ngek ngek… I really don’t know how to soothe him since all efforts seemed futile. I just continued my sleep. After awhile of tossing and whining, he went back to Zzzz.

As I’m tying.. he’s happily laughing and playing in his playroom. His body is a little warm (37.4C), yet fever due to the jab. Will have to monitor him……….

Went to catch a pic of him… :D

Check out the number of balls Ryan has in the room… that excludes the ones in other parts of the house.

I’m just happy he is smiling there…surrounded by people who loves him here.

Love you lots Ryan!

Sore Eyes

Everytime I travel from one place to another, my eyes would be the first to suffer. This time is no exceptional. Even a trip from SG to KL – a place I’ve lived my whole life is causing me so much discomfort. Maybe he’s angry I’ve abandoned him for Singapore. Kakakaka…….

That’s my eyes. My right eye is a little swollen and red as compared to my left eye. And I know.. they even look crossed but no la.. I don’t have crossed eyes. Just that I was staring straight to the lens at close range :P

Update: This morning I woke up with an itchy left eye and a swollen (not just little swollen this time) right eye. Sobss.. partially my fault.. my itchy fingers’ fault for not being able to resist the temptation of rubbing and rubbing the two little ‘sick’ eyes. Ooooooo….. tell you, the feeling of rubbing on itchy eyes was so good…. but the after effect was not. Help!
