The Best Prawn Dish

This is the best of the best fresh water prawn dish I had ever tasted. They are buttery and crispy and simply top notch yummy! It’s been years since we visited this restaurant yet the quality is still execelente. Simply delish.

The restaurant has many other signature dishes but personally this ‘nai yau’ (butter) prawn is definitely the creme de la creme.

Look at those mouth watering meaty fresh water prawns. I was told tong gwai was added to cook this dish thus explains the special taste. They can be pricey but worth every penny.

We also ordered their signature salad tofu and fried kangkong with belacan. The tofu is nice. So so on the vege though.

The address

I heard one of the brothers came out on his own and started a new restaurant offering similar dishes but I haven’t got a clue the whereabouts. Let me know if you do. 😊😊

The beginning of Terrible Two

Lil B @ 1 year 9 months 6 days

Lil B getting more and more manja lately and has been shedding crocodile tears the moment we raise our voice. Unlike Ryan who cry out loud, this little fella likes to show us his purged lips before the whole ‘Wah Wah Wah…’ drama starts.

Here’s an example, I raised my voice asking him not to distract while I check on Ryan’s Enopi homework. He kept pulling the worksheet regardless my warnings. He has such stubborn genes he just refused to give in and kept shoving books to my face so I could read them to him. I normally obliged, but I needed a break too after reading him like gazzilion books since morning.

So my patience ran thin after my umpteen sweet talking. I looked him in his eyes and gave him a good lecture. Expectedly, he returned me with this….

In the end. I had to put aside the worksheet and spend the next good one hour pacifying him with lotsa dedicated love, attention and of course more books. 😭😭

Treasure your loved ones

It saddens me a great deal, and I do mean a great great indescribable sorrow after reading this update on the affectionally known Feisty Princess Charmaine. My tears just welled up in my eyes. Little did I expect, a couple of hours after her mommy wrote that post, Charmaine bid her farewell to her loved ones. I guess even the almighty can’t bear to witness anymore suffering on the poor little princess. She suffered enough. Really enough. She was 6.

Now that brings me to ponder about the meaning of life. If you follow Charmaine’s blog, like me, you will most likely feel ashamed that while we are fretting over small trivial matters, little Charmaine’s wish was simply to stay alive, to be granted her well deserved sense of normalcy in life. She was barely 4 when she was diagnosed .

Unfortunately…..Life can be that cruel at times. No child should be subjected to all these and no parent should outlived their child too. NO NO NO!!!!

Nevertheless, she fought a remarkable battle. Her positiveness far exceeded her tiny age. She definitely lives behind a legacy.

If you’re like me, always fretting over trivial matters in life, just remember / Life is short and Life is fragile. If you haven’t done so today, please do yourself a favour, go give your loved ones a big hug, tell them how much you treasure and love them… ❤❤

And to the little warrior, may you rest in peace.
