48 Hours Up!!!

@ 8 months 6 days

Mummy is so blur. Supposed to blog about your development after 48 hours observation period. It’s more than 100 hours now. Well, thank goodness thank goodness, you’re OKAY!! Except for being more emotional these days, you appears to be still the usual healthy and hyper baby. Yoohoo!!!!

Emotional Baby

@ 8 months 4 days

Ryan is definitely unperturbed despite the recent trauma (more like a trauma for mummy than the lil cutie though).

Ever since that night, I paid more attention to Ryan (not that I don’t pay attention other times but these 2 days are more crucial lor..) I noticed our boy has become quite emotional. Last night, while being carried around in the house by YehYeh, they stopped by the fridge and Ryan being as ‘tor sau’ as ever started pulling the fridge magnets, again. (Ryan actually broke a few already). But being the ‘kum po lor’ (apple) in YehYeh’s eyes broken fridge magnets are no big deal. Well, true la no big deal but those were memorable fridge magnets I bought from my tripssss leh… Sob sob.

Anyways, that’s not the story. While happily showing off his hand fingers skills, he managed to drag one out and wanted to put it inside his mouth. Linda (my maid) who saw quickly said “No, No, tak boleh”. Poor baby thought Linda was scolding him started to cry the pitiful cry of his. Hehehe..

After a short while, YehYeh brought him back to the fridge magnets… Adoi. So when I saw I quickly pulled it away from his lil fingers and guess what… Ryan cried again. This time not funny anymore. Since when Ryan is such an emotional and manja baby.. Hmmm??

This morning when I dropped Ryan at auntie’s place, she told me that Ryan is now an expert when it comes to standing up. Definitely not amazed this time knowing Ryan’s legs alone are not strong enough to support his 9kg weight. Anyways, her elaboration was Ryan will usually pull himself up using the chair as support, lean his back against a neighboring chair/wall and steadily pandai pandai let go both his hands and stood against whatever he was leaning on happily smiling. “Geng”!!! I just hope he won’t suffer another fall from his never ending mischievous activities.

Last Sat (16 Dec 06), I managed to capture this on my camera. Ryan was trying to untangle the linking alphabets and he did exactly what athletes would do to gain more strength – he SCREAMED!!!! HAHAHAHAA….

Road to Recovery

@ 8 months 4 days

It’s about 36 hours after the incident and thank goodness Ryan is on his way to speedy recovery. His wound is healing and drying up. The below picture was taken last night after cleaning his wound. Recover fast my poor baby…

Note to Ryan: Cutie, if you’re reading this one day and wonder how could a fall from bed caused such a bad cut on forehead.. well..you may go ask your Daddy. Ask him about his BRILLIANT design on the bed. Heehee.. Love you alwayssssss..

Letter to Ryan

@ 8 months 2 days

Dear Cutie Ryan

My poor baby, mummy’s heart skipped a beat when mummy heard a loud thud and the next thing mummy saw was my cutie pie had fell lying face down on the floor. It was around 2am when it happened, as mummy was preparing milk, you overcame the pillows barrier and felt flat on your face.

My poor baby, mummy felt really sorry for you. Thank goodness you’re okay. Should have been more careful and ask Daddy to care for you while mummy make milk knowing you’re such a grown baby now; adventurous too.

My poor baby, paed confirmed you have no internal injuries; nonetheless as precaution you will have to be closely monitored for the next 2 days. The cut and bruises on your head are stern reminders for mummy to be extra extra vigilant and watchful of your every move from now on.

Ryan, get well from the cut, bruises and ‘shock’ soon ya..

Luv you alwaysssssssssss.. muaks muaks

Christmas Decor

@ 8 months 1 day

We have not really celebrated Christmas in the previous years – celebrate the holiday we get from it got la.. :P Anyway, this year’s Christmas is slightly different – it’s the first Christmas with a new baby and is indeed special for us. Like all other babies, Ryan is always fascinated with the Christmas ornaments and decor on a Xmas tree; and of course not forgetting those beautiful blink blink lightings. Can really keep him entertained for long.

Last night we went to Mid Valley (yeah.. again) for dinner at Dragon-i. It was our first time there; usually we dine at Madam Kwan or Spring Garden (err.. did I get it right.. neway the Tai Thong Rest). Food was alright but but the service suckssss big time. I wouldn’t perorate endlessly on how bad the service was but rather I would want to share on how happy and delighted Ryan was upon seeing those beautiful Christmas decor on the concourse floor. As usual, Ryan refused to sit still on his stroller so this poor mummy has to bring him ‘kai-kai’ so daddy and PIL could eat and subsequently take turns to entertain my cutie monster. Yesterday evening there were somehow more children running around the area than usual. So, Ryan was even more elated for being able to be part of the crowd until he is willing to sacrifice his nap time for anything (how mummy know Ryan was sleepy then?? -easy – through the constant rubbing of his eyes, yawning, sleepy Garfield eyes leh..)

Mummy managed to take some pictures before we went back in to finish mummy’s dinner.
